If you take the accessories that come with Legacy Core Class Skywarp and Iguanus, they connect to Hot Rod's sword to form a more elaborate looking weapon. The front has a 3mm port as well, allowing you to attach the sword and forming a kind of crossbow weapon. One side of the spoiler has a 5mm peg while the other has a 5mm peg. This piece has a bit more detail than we traditionally see on Hot Rod's spoiler including vertical bits towards the sides and a line running across from one side to another. The spoiler was designed to separate so it could act as an accessory to attach to accessories from other Core Class figures (specifically in the Legacy line). Spoiler: One of Hot Rod's classic features is a bit spoiler on his back with two points on either side. There is a 3mm port on one side of the sword, allowing it to attach to the spoiler piece in vehicle mode. The handle has a 3mm peg for Hot Rod to use and the top section is a 5mm peg. This piece is made of red plastic with the blade painted light blue. This sword is sculpted to look like it has a handle with an energy blade extending out from it. Sword: It may seem odd to give Hot Rod a sword but in the 1986 film he was seen using a practice sword and many (many) years later he would wield the Sword of Primus so this is not without precedent. Those images are included in the gallery below. Note: This exact same figure was later reissued in Legacy packaging. Hot Rod stands on top of graphics that look like a portal which likely plays a role in the story idea of having G1 and Beast Wars characters mix. A Transformers logo is found at the top with the classic "More than Meets the Eye" tag line under it. The back of the card features Hot Rod in both modes and an Autobot symbol towards the top calling out an 8 step transformation. The artwork is all in a beautiful painted style that evokes the G1/Beast Wars era of packaging. Right under that is a small image of the Ark on top of an erupting volcano. The insert features the Kingdom logo set at an angle. Hot Rod's name is printed vertically on the left side (as "Autobot Hot Rod") while the now familiar vertical Transformers logo is on the right. The card itself features gorgeous artwork showing Hot Rod in robot mode holding his sword. The Core Class is now the only class of figures in Kingdom that are carded with a traditional clear bubble on top of a card. If anyone misses out on the Kingdom Hot Rod figure, don't worry! This figure will be re-released (along with his sword) as part of Legacy, so fans will be able to have another chance at this figure in 2022. Many (many) years later there was a Legends Class version in the Universe 2.0 line and then later a different kind of Legends Class was released in Combiner Wars. In G1 there was a Micromaster version released with the Japanese exclusive Star Convoy figure. This is not the first time Hot Rod has been released in a small scale.
